MIA - KYAYAKS AND SUPs

KAYAKS and SUPS - January 2012 - Miami Catatamaran have just opened up another watersports venture, they are now renting kayaks and stand up paddle boards in Coconut Grove (its in between both of our hotels)

It is a beautiful spots for kayaking as the waters are calm and there are many island and canals to explore in the area.

They are offering 3 months free for BAFSRC members, and you MUST take along your BAFSRC membership card and BAID card to benefit from this offer.

BGI - BARBADOS GOLF CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Effective 16th December 2011 - We have taken out a membership at the Barbados Golf Club; full details of the memberships and rates are on the BGI page of the website.

NBO - GYM

Dec 15th 2011 - There are been some suggestion that the new gym in the hotel is inadequate and that we should look at an external gym membership. We agreed this, but since then we have had lots of communication to say the new gym is really great, and that an external membership is not required.

There is also a directive that crew should not leave the hotel due to local security issues, and so for these reasons an external gym membership will NOT be taken out.

BDA - ODAY TAKEN OUT OF WATER FOR WINTER

January 1st 2011 - The Oday will be taken out of the water for the worst of the winter and will be stored at Ed Rance's boat yard, and we will return it to the mooring at Waterlot in the spring.

The boat is not available for sailing during that time, as cleaning and maintenance work will be done.

EZE - GYM SUPPORT FOR BAFSRC CC

Dec 2012- The committee agreed that it would like to help support the BAFSRC Cabin Crew members with the gym costs in EZE, as the FC and the Senior Cabin crew do have free access.

The BAFSRC cannot pay all the costs as it would be too expensive; so they have agreed to refund £15 per annum per member on production of the receipts from the hotel gym.

This £15 refund is added onto the list of other activities where we do a refund, and is only available on one activity per member per annum..i.e if you claim for the gym in EZE you cannot claim for any other activity like skiing.
